Associate Attorney

Seeking an Associate Attorney with 7+ years experience for our South San Francisco office. This position offers qualified associate candidates the opportunity to work on a reasonable docket of interesting high exposure cases, with significant responsibility from the initial intake to trial. We have a diversified practice, which includes environmental, high stakes casualty, governmental and fire liability/large loss subrogation. Requirements:

  • 7-15 years of practical experience in insurance defense
  • Exceptional writing, communication, research and analytical skills
  • Proven attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a strong work ethic and sound judgment
  • Ability to take direction and manage a moderate sized caseload with minimal supervision.

Paralegal

We are seeking a full time litigation paralegal with a minimum 3-5 years DEFENSE LITIGATION experience for our South San Francisco office. This position offers qualified associate candidates the opportunity to work on a reasonable docket of interesting high exposure cases, with significant responsibility from the initial intake to trial.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should be detail oriented, highly organized and able to work well in a congenial but active practice.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is a must.
  • Experience in preparation and service of subpoenas, pleadings and discovery; summarizing medical records and depositions; setting up and scheduling depositions; and experience in preparing a case for trial.
  • Familiarity with State and local rules.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is desired.
